Fitness Challenge: Get outside!

Getting your workout in doesn't always have to mean going to the gym. Tackle your yard work to-do list and get a great workout at the same time!

The Challenge:

Cross one of your tasks off your list and get a workout.

  • Plant flowers or a vegetable garden
  • Vigorously scrub your grill
  • Clean your gutters
  • Rake up leaves or lay new mulch
  • Use a push-mower instead of a riding mower

Remember to engage in safety practice during any exercise - pull in your abdominal muscles, bend your knees before lifting anything heavy, don't get on a ladder without someone nearby to spot, and wear protective clothing as needed.
