We all touch our faces countless times a day and don't even realize it. However, touching your face can significantly increase the risk of infection with viruses. Your mouth and eyes are areas where viruses can easily enter the body. All it takes is touching them with a finger that's already carrying an infection.

Here are some tips:

  1. Wash your hands often - this is key!
  2. When you're out of the house, wear a mask! This is a physical reminder to not touch your face.
  3. Keep your hands busy. When you're watching TV, try to fold laundry or organize a junk drawer.
  4. Use a scented hand sanitizer. The smell will draw your attention to the location of your hands.
