Don't get tricked this Halloween!
Halloween tends to be the official kickoff of the holiday season, which makes it a great time to begin practicing balance and mindfulness when it comes to eating.
Here are a few important tips to keep you and your kiddos extra healthy this year:
- Avoid temptation by waiting until Halloween to buy candy. Buy less than you think you need and only get candy you don't love.
- Eat before you trick-or-treat. Eat a healthy dinner before you and your kids head out to avoid snacking on candy while trick-or-treating.
- Bargain! Kids come home with an overwhelming amount of candy? Keep that sugar high down by trading candy for sweet-free incentives, such as staying up late on a school night.
