Cyber Security: Practice good password management
Having hard-to-crack passwords is the easiest way to make sure that your personal information (and your company’s information) is protected.
Here are a few good rules of thumb:
- When creating a password, use a mix of characters (letters, numbers and symbols). Want help with this? Use a tool like 1Password or LastPass to generate and store your passwords.
- Don’t use the same password for multiple sites.
- Don’t share your password with others.
- Don’t write it down (especially on a post-it note attached to your monitor or under your keyboard!)
