June is Men's Health Month
Healthier lives start with small steps. This June is Men's Health Month, which makes it a great time to focus on health:
- Prioritize Prevention: Many health conditions can be detected early with regular checkups and screenings, like blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and prostate.
- Get Moving: Do yard work. Play with your kids or grandkids. Take the stairs. Keep comfortable walking shoes handy. Most importantly, choose activities that you enjoy to stay motivated.
- Eat Healthy Food: Start with small steps like saying no to extra portions and yes to healthy breakfast. Eat different types of foods to get all the vitamins and minerals you need. Add at least one fruit and vegetable to every meal.
